Fear of Columns

A submission to the design competition, “Fear of Columns” which commemorated the 30th anniversary of the reconstruction of the Barcelona Pavillon. The Mies Van Der Rohe foundation called for designs to create a temporary recreation of the eight columns and two pedestals that presided over the Pavilion in 1929, reflecting on the impact that the Ionic columns by Puig i Cadafalch had on Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe’s work.
